Bergamo, Sant'Alessandro della Croce
The church of Sant’Alessandro della Croce dates back to the 12th century, yet it was changed many times in time, until the façade was completed in 1922.
The plan is based on a Latin cross, with a single Baroque-style nave. The church boasts various artworks, such as the Crowning of the Virgin Mary, by Gian Battista Moroni, the Trinity by Lorenzo Lotto, Our Lady of the Assumption by Jacopo Bassano, Christ Crucified by Andrea Previstali, Christ bearing the Cross by Lorenzo Costa.
