Sellero, Parco Comunale Archeologico e Minerario
The Sellero Municipal Archaeological and Mining Park develops along an archaeological area rich in engraved surfaces (an equipped area for the visit is at Carpene) and ancient mines at Carona. The Park shows and documents an area dedicated to metalworkings and metallurgy since ever. At Sellero, in fact, there is the oldest carved rock relating to the Iron Age and describing the inside of a working forge. A single thread which leads to birth and develop of the Alpine metallurgy.
