Como, Musei Civici
The role of museums created in a city is that of narrating qualities and virtues of the community, representing what can be called the “civic pride". With its museums Como wanted to underline its own history and its role of cultural landmark within the province; these museums, so different one from the other, become complementary in the portrait of the city’s identity and of the territory’s features. Civic Museums in Como are: Museo Archeologico Paolo Giovio, Museo Storico Giuseppe Garibaldi, Pinacoteca Civica di Palazzo Volpi, Tempio Voltiano.
