PIADENA It is an agricultural-industrial centre.It is situated at the crossroads between the railway lines and the arterial roads that link Cremona to Mantova and Brescia to Parma. The territory of Piadena is well known to the archaeologists for the documents that have been found there: mainly prehistoric and ancient Roman ones. The core of the town is make up of low houses with arcades. WORTH VISITING: - The Parish Church; it was rebuilt with baroque forms in 1748-54 (XVIIIcent.) - The Town Hall; It was the Gerolamini's friary in the XVI century. From 1960 their rooms are destined to Archaeological Museum. - The Villa Magio-Trecchi. EVENTS: - September fair on the second Sunday of the month. It is a four-day feast that dates back to 1863. There is a display of agricultural machines and products and a philatelic show. A bicycle race and fireworks complete the event.
