Explore the immersive map
Browse the map through the zoom tool and drag it: you will discover new points of interest,
up to reaching the monuments of the Lombard old towns.
The “landing” spots of your immersive tour are highlighted in red: click on them and an all-round
image will open. The “See details” button leads you to a page dedicated to the places and points
of interest which also includes descriptions, images, website links, and links to other places in
the surroundings. A number of buttons allow you to choose the map view among road, satellite or both.
Opening the “Key”, you will find the list of symbols in the map.

You can move forward an backward and, using the navigation arrows or the arrow keys, have an all-round
view of these virtual environments. Some dots in front of the cursor indicate the directions you can take.

You can also search a point of interest, a place or a natural or cultural topic. By way of example, enter “abbey” or “leonard” and you will find the relevant details.
Itineraries
It is possible to view on the map 13 itineraries in the Lombard provinces, ranging from old towns to
art cities and lake shores. The list of itineraries is visible on the left side of the tourist map.
Visual Lombardia gives you an unprecedented virtual opportunity: you can travel not only along roads or scenic drives,
but also by boat along Navigli or on Lake Iseo and
on the ski runs of Valtellina.
Thanks to the “past and present” solution you can also experience time travel, thus comparing how an environment actually
