The Archaeological Park and Antiquarium of Monte Barro

Monte Barro is a mountain which does not reach the 1000 meters of altitude, an important reserve turned into Regional Park. On the mountain you can see deposits of significant interest, erratic and morainic materials, as well as important archaeological ruins. The Archaeological Park is planned with a trail which allows you to visit the ruins archaeologists found so far, showing the remains of a residential settlement and military protection built to guard the city of Milan between the fifth and sixth century, during the conflict between the Roman empire and barbarian populations. The Antiquarium is infact equipped with interactive learning stations through which visitors can learn the basic aspects of daily life in the old Gothic castrum.
