Lecco, Palazzo Belgioioso
Palazzo Belgioioso in Castello, one of the old neighbourhood of the city, is a precious building from the late eighteenth century which houses five different museums: the Archaeological Museum (eight rooms with relics from all over the Province, from the Medium Palaeolithic period to the Middle Ages as well as Celtic grave instruments from the First and Second Iron Ages and the early medieval goldsmith works); Natural Science Museum (twelve rooms of zoological and paleolithic collections and you can find the extremely rare “Lariosauro”); the Lecco Industry Virtual Room (whichi illustrates one of the most important industrial realities of the Country from the Industrial Revolution on); the History Museum (regarding the contemporary history of the Lecco area); and the Planetarium Città di Lecco (which organizes astrological projections, lectures and observations of the sky).
