Lecco, Ponte Azzone Visconti
The fortified bridge (Ponte Vecchio or Ponte di Azzone Visconti), originally erected in 1336-38, is protected by two towers and a drawbridge. This bridge is one of the most important emblems of Lecco’s late medieval military engineering, and still serves as the city’s symbol today.
