Milano, Fiera Milano Rho-Pero

The province of Milan has an international exhibition centre that is among the most important and largest in the world, divided between two districts, one within the city and the other on its outskirts.Located in the Portello district, the Fiera Milano City, whose halls have stayed operative (while the section with the old halls has been demolished and is about to become one of the new symbol-quarters of the XXI century Milan).The new Fiera Milano, the futuristic quarter located in Rho-Pero, was designed by Massimilliano Fuksas and is an archetype of a new model of exhibition centre, ideal not only for the great architectural and urbanistic value of the project, but also for its use of space, logistics, transport (the two districts are connected by the underground) and functionality.
