Agrate Brianza, Villa Trivulzio
The origins of this house date back to the early years of the 16th century. The building was an imposing edifice on a double U plan. In the second decade of the 18th century work began to convert the pre-existing house into a villa di delizia. Of the two gardens designed by Ruggeri, the smaller one survives today and retains many features of the original plan. The larger garden was transformed into a large English park. This park, of impressive proportions, became the model for numerous aristocratic residences in the Province of Milan. The management of the present owners, which has also had the building restored, has enhanced its natural features.
