VERSIONE ITALIANAGO TO THE MAPHELPPOINTS OF INTEREST

Trinitapoli reserve, Masseria Combattenti

MappaTrinitapoli reserve, Masseria Combattenti

This reserve encompasses reclaimed alluvial soils between three rivers (Cervone, Candelaro and Celaro). The Margherita di Savoia Saltworks are its largest wetland area, whereas the remaining part is a system of channels and basins of salt water. Due to its brackish soils, its vegetation mainly consists of stretches of glasswort, while reed-beds flourish close to water. The typical Mediterranean garrigue is widespread, along with trees like tamarisks andwillows. The animals found in this reserve are the species that live in wetland habitats, as well as migratory avifauna that uses the park as a staging post. This area is also a refuge for resident animals, such as mallards and Western marsh harriers. Masseria Combattenti is also a major spa that offers bromo-ionine-salt cures.
